Strawberry Compote

This one of those things which can be used in many ways - as a sauce for your pancakes, as a topping for your  cheesecake - a perfect accompaniment to have on your hands during the holiday season. And it is easy to make too.

Strawberry Compote

  • Strawberries -  1 Cup, trimmed and quartered
  • Sugar - 3 tbs
  • Lemon juice - a dash, to help preserve their color
In a saucepan, bring to boil to boil the strawberries and sugar with just enough water to cover the strawberries on medium heat.
